Klemantaski Himself is the autobiography of Louis Klemantaski, and is illustrated with almost 400 of his photographs, many of which have never been published before. This charming and beautifully produced book of some 390 pages, measuring about 10 x 12 inches, tells the fascinating story of a child born in Manchuria in 1912 who, having been sent to England for his education, founded the first school for racing drivers at the old Brooklands track. Not being able to afford the life of a driver, he turned instead to the photography of the sport he loved and became the most famous man of his profession. His story is at once enthralling and entertaining and the reader will never tire of his images.
Klemantaski Himself is also available by special order in a limited two-volume signed and slipcased Portfolio Editon, limited to 300 copies. Please send us an e-mail for full details.
