Other Variations

Ferrari sent two different cars to this new venue, which was very much like a miniature Nürburgring in character: a 1512/F1 for Lorenzo Bandini (n. 4) and an older 158/F1 for John Surtees. Both had identical qualifying times, however. Surtees finished in third place while Bandini was classified as a finisher in eighth position although he had lost a wheel late in the race when running fifth. Once again Klemantaski got close to the action.
