| Early in the race the Ferrari 250P of John Surtees (co-driving with Willy Mairesse) and the last year’s winning N.A.R.T. Ferrari 330TRI/LM of Pedro Rodriguez (co-driving with Roger Penske) are in pursuit of the Maserati T.151 of André Simon (co-driving with Lloyd “Lucky” Casner) as all three dive into the Esses. However, none of them would reach the finish. |
