| Peter Collins qualified in the second row, but did so in the car of Wolfgang von Trips. Meanwhile von Trips was slow and in the back, in Collins’ car. But it was the car that qualified, not the driver, so von Trips started up front and Collins was in back, next to Jean Behra’s B.R.M. Collins finished fourth having run out of fuel on the last lap and coasting to the finish. |
