| An important Peter Coltrin photograph of the great Juan Manuel Fangio in his last race, entering the Thillois hairpin. He found the Maserati 250F outclassed by the new rear-engined brigade as well as by the new lightweight Ferraris and powerful Vanwalls. At the end of the race, Fangio announced his retirement. |
