| The Lancia team cars lined up at Monaco, their last race in force. These were the only cars that could challenge the new Mercedes. The drivers names are listed behind the pits: Eugenio Castellotti finished second, “Gigi” Villoresi fifth and Louis Chiron sixth, but the Mercedes had all retired. Alberto Ascari ended up in the harbor. |
