| The crowd inspects the Mercedes W196 streamlined Grand Prix car to be driven by Karl Kling. Both Mercedes drivers had difficulty with their envelope bodies on the Silverstone course. Kling would finish seventh, three laps down on the winning Ferrari of Froilán González. |
