| An exciting race is about to start. On the left is Alberto Ascari in a Ferrari on pole with Juan Manuel Fangio’s Maserati and Giuseppe Farina’s Ferrari sharing the front row. In the race these three, plus Villoresi, Hawthorn and Marimon put on a slipstreaming show. The win went to Fangio after Ascari slid wide on the final corner. Farina came second. |
