This is the English driver Richard Seaman in the Mercedes Benz W154 during practice. There was rain during the race which made driving fast on this type of pavé surface very difficult. Seaman finished second behind “rain master” Rudolph Caracciola in another W154. This is one of the very first color motor racing photographs: the ASA speed was 8!
