| The Start with the Ford P68 3L, driven by Bruce McLaren (paired with Mike Spence) coming off the middle of the front row. On pole at the left is the Porsche 907 of Jo Siffert and Hans Herrmann while on the right is the second Porsche 907, this one drivenby Gerhard Mitter and Ludovico Scarfiotti. The Mitter/Scarfiotti car would finish second behind the Ford GT40 driven by Jacky Ickx and Brian Redman, here just behind Mitter’s Porsche. |
