| Dan Gurney sits in his new Eagle Grand Prix car in the pits during practice, discussing its performance. At this time the Eagle was using a Coventry-Climax 2.5-liter four cylinder motor, until the new Gurney-Weslake V12 was ready. This left it well down on power to its rivals. Gurney started at the back of the grid and completed the race, but was too far behind to be classified as a finisher. |
