| Early in the race Jochen Rindt with the N.A.R.T.-entered Ferrari 250LM leads the Porsche 904/8 of Colin Davis and Gerhard Mitter through the Esses. Rindt and Masten Gregory, with a little help from Ed Hugus, went on to a surprise victory. |
