| The grid is ready to go in pit lane for the rolling start. On pole is the Cobra Daytona driven Bob Holbert and Dave McDonald with next to it another Shelby American entry, the Cobra driven by Tommy Hitchcock, Prince Zourab Tchkotoua and Jo Schlesser. The Daytona Coupe retired after a fire in the pits while the Hitchcock Cobra would finish tenth. Behind the Daytona is the eventual winner, a Ferrari 250GTO/64 driven by the somewhat unusual pairing of Pedro Rodriguez and Phil Hill. |
