| American sedans were very suited to British saloon car racing, but had only made limited appearances before 1963. That year John Willment purchased a 427 c.i. Ford Galaxie, had it NASCAR prepared and put Jack Sears in it. It was all over for the Jaguars. Then Alan Brown put Jim Clark in a similar Galaxie who won when Sears lost a tire. |
