| Lance Reventlow and Tony Brooks chat in the pits before practice on this super-fast circuit. Reventlow started in the next-to-last row and Brooks in the front, some 17 sec. apart in lap time. Reventlow’s Scarab failed on the first lap and Brooks’ Cooper on the second. It was a terrible weekend, with Stirling Moss seriously injured in a practice crash and Alan Stacey and Chris Bristow killed in separate accidents during the race. |
