| Phil Hill in the lovely 246/F1, the last of Ferrari’s front-engined GP cars passing the side entrance to the Hotel de Paris as he tops Ste. Devote. Not as fast on the twisty Monaco street circuit as the Lotus of Stirling Moss or the Cooper of Bruce McLaren, both of which finished ahead of him, Hill kept going steadily to gain a well-deserved third place, 62 seconds behind Moss. |
