| Pau, with Monaco, is one of only two “round-the-houses” circuits still remaining. Here Maurice Trintignant, an expert on street circuits, takes off from his pole position with Jean Behra in the middle of the front row in his special “Behra-Porsche”which had been built in Modena. On the right is Bruce McLaren in another Cooper. Trintignant won with McLaren second. Behra spun and lost two laps. |
