| Waiting for the start, Olivier Gendebien sits patiently in his Ferrari 250TR/59 which he was to share with Phil Hill. His differential broke on the first lap. Behind Gendebien is the Ferrari 196S driven by Giulio Cabianca and Giorgio Scarlatti. Very fast in practice, they were hoping for a good result, but the Dino first caught fire, then the gearbox failed. On the left (n. 140) is the Ferrari 500TR of Gaetano Starrabba and Domenico Lo Coco which would be another dnf. |
