| The start: Harry Schell has jumped out to a temporary lead with his B.R.M. with Luigi Musso and Mike Hawthorn right after him. Behind them all is total disarray as von Trips has stalled in the middle of the pack and Stirling Moss has to take avoiding action with his Vanwall. On lap 10 Musso crashed while following Hawthorn through the very fast corner after the pits and was killed. |
