| Action at Thillois: Harry Schell leads in the Vanwall which had been started by Mike Hawthorn. He is followed by Louis Rosier’s Maserati and Eugenio Castellotti’s Ferrari-Lancia. There were always a lot of photographers on hand at Thillois, the slowest part of the high speed Reims circuit. They ignored the danger of standing so close to the track. |
