| In the early morning practice session Juan Manuel Fangio drifts around Mirabeau, his right front wheel just a few centimeters from the curbing, and is captured by Klemantaski from a hotel balcony in the oblique dawn light. This is one of a series of similar shots: no one else was as precise in their car placement as the World Champion. This photograph shows how Klemantaski used his unique talent for composition to such stunning effect. The interplay of the sharp light of early morning and the resulting shadows add unusual emphasis to the sense of motion. |
