| The first pit stop to change tires for the Karl Kling/ Hans Klenk Mercedes 300SL in the Sierra Madre after Tehuantepec, which was managed by Molter. Note the smashed windshield which resulted from having hit a buzzard at high speed.Klenk is wearing goggles as a result. They went on to finish second to the 300SL of Hermann Lang and Erwin Grupp. |
