Prince Bira of Siam (Thailand) was a highly talented driver both before and after World War II. Here he corners his Maserati 4CL at La Bouchere corner in the village of Chimay in Belgium. He won, ahead of George Monkhouse who drove a T.51 Bugatti. Klemantaski captured the way it was in postwar European road racing: no crowd control at all and with the spectators right on top of the speeding cars. |
