The moment everyone had been waiting for! The Flag has just dropped for the Final race (after two heats) and the Field surges forward. The front row is all Alfa 158s with Count Trossi, J.-P. Wimille and Nno Farina (left to right in the photo). Between Trossi and Wimille can be seen Tazio Nuvolari’s Maserati coming on from the second row with Achille Varzi’s Alfa (n. 20) next to him. Behind and to Nuvolari’s left is the Maserati of Toulo de Graffenried with Luigi Villoresi’s similar car behind and to the left of Varzi.
