| Arthur Dobson in the very fast E.R.A. E-type which set pole position time in practice. His race was not so fortunate, for although he set fastest lap during the first heat – an improvement of 5 sec. under his practice time – his engine caused problems which resulted in a crash on the ninth lap, fortunately without injury. |
