The Belgian Grand Prix; Spa-Francorchamps, June 9, 1968 |

Everyone is watching as Ferrari’s chief engineer Mauro Forghieri adjusts the wing on Chris Amon’s Ferrari 312/F1 as the New Zealand driver prepares to go out for practice. This was the first race appearance of a separate rear wing on a Grand Prix car. Amon took pole position and was second to the Honda of John Surtees when a stone holed his radiator. |
